Products´ description

For the production of these legs, suitable livestock will have to be crossbred between: 

Mother line: : Landrace (tipo standard) Landrace White or crossbreed of both.

Father line: Landrace (tipo standard) o Duroc.

Only pigs born and bred in farms located in the province of Teruel will be able to provide their legs to the manufacture of protected hams. Pigs will not be administered any kind of treatment or chemistry treated food during the 15 days previous to its slaughtering.



Ham's caracteristics:

  • Shape: Elongated, well shaped and with rounded edges up to the showing of the flesh, keeping the skin and the hoof.
  • Weight: Between 8 and 9 kg, and never below 7 kg.

  • Color: Shining and red cut, with fat partially infiltrated within the flesh.
  • Meat: Delicate taste, slightly salted.
  • Fat: Soft consistency, shinny, white-yellowy color, aromatic, and pleasant taste.
